Twitter...better late than never!?

There is so much technology out there to support users of any product or service.  Over the past years, we have created this blog, a YouTube Channel, a Faebook Page, a Flickr page, and some other items we have most likely forgot about.  Being in Silicon Valley and going to networking events on a regular basis, you are bombarded with all of the newest technology and geekspeak.  Twitter came onto my radar over a year ago.  For those who are not aware, One can update people with a few words or a couple sentences and subscribers will receive it as a text message if they are subscribed to that feed.  I was at an event with Guy Kawasaki as the keynote speaker last night and he again spoke about Twitter.  By the way, I recommend Guy's new book, Reality Check very highly.  I advocate his advice and use it regularly.

I woke up this morning and took the plunge.  I now have a Twitter account and will update people of new news.  Currently I am speaking to myself.  As a test, I posted a message..and I can see how it would be addicting.  If you do have any interest, go to our Twitter page and sign up.  Day 1 is kind of embarrassing as I have no subscribers...kind of like being the last kid chosen for the baseball team in gym.

SchmartBoard is planning to authorize a number of distribution partners around the world to make sure that our poduct is available to users outside of the U.S.   This has become more important with the advent of Solder By Numbers because once we have a lot of circuits in the Circuit Catalog for purchase, those outside of the US will need a local place to buy SchmartBoards.

 We do get orders from overseas and shipping is expensive.  If you are not in a country that we currently have representation and you can recommend a good distributor for our product, let us know.  We look for smaller distributors with a focus on prototyping.  A great example of this is Watterott Electronics in Germany.  We have just signed tham and will be sending their initial inventory shortly.  If you happen to be in Europe and Germany specifically...check them out.

Who knows...one day i might be able to visit these new distributors......on the company dime!

SchmartBoard and Solder By Numbers Wish You Happy New Year!

Another new year is here?  Do you set goals?  We do...we plan to come out with a number of new products, to improve the Solder By Numbers website and also the SchmartBoard website , and to generally make electronics easier and more fun.  We also hope to make SchmartBoard more accessable to the masses outside of the U.S. by signing stocking distributors of SchmartBoard.  This way international users of Solder By Numbers circuits can buy just the circuit for $5 online, and then source the components and correct SchmartBoards locally.  If you want to see us in a particular distributor, please get them to contact us.  We have stocking distributors in a few countries such as France, the UK, Hungary and others, but hope to add markets very soon.  Our biggest resolution though is to continue to listen to the needs of our customers.  Please let us know what is the Good, the Bad and the Ugly in what we are doing.  We will listen.  info@schmartboard.com is the best place to contact us.  Happy New Year from the staff at SchmartBoard.
