The Final GreenArrays/SchmartBoard Winner is Announced!

Today is the final giveaway of a GreenArrays GA144 IC with a SchmartBoard to mount it on.  Drum Roll.......The winner is Jack Rosen with Electronic Consultants in Farmington Hills MI.  Jack will put it to good use: "Application is to use cores for multiple/similar PID algorithms to replace functional multiple National LM 629 controllers that I have in place now. I currently have multiple test and working CNC platforms to build and test from as well as prior FORTH experience on 68XX/68XXX."

New Addition to Our SMT to DIP Line

We released a new SMT to DIP adapter today.  The 204-0013-01 is for SOIC components with a .635mm pitch.  With this product, we now support all SOIC pitches with this line.

This product is an SOIC to DIP adapter with a twist. These have our patented "ez" technology which means that soldering the surface mount component is simple, and as with all of our "ez" boards, we are the only company with a patented solution for easily soldering surface mount parts. Included in the package are two .635mm pitch adapter boards for 18 leads and a row of headers to use the boards with a breadboard. These 18 pin boards also include room for 0805 SMT components such as a bypass capacitor and for easy access to a ground.

This Week's GreenArrays Winner is "Instrumental"

It is that time again.  Time to announce this week's winner.  The GreenArrays IC with Schmartboard goes this week to Ray Shuter of National Instuments.  What will Rays use this for?  "We make analog and digital data acquisition products.  I'm trying to get ideas for helping me troubleshoot our boards, program CPLD's, process waveforms...anything else I can find"  Congratulations to Ray.

This last weekend, Schmartboard had the priveledge of joining GreenArrays at the annual Fourth Day at Stanford University.  We spent our time speaking to the many enthusiastic advocates of the GA144 technology, met with the GreenArrays management,  and demonstraded how SchmartBoard|ez technology works to make it easier to use the GreenArrays IC.  GreenArrays also gave away ICs with Schmartboards to those who took the time to solder a demo board with SchmartBoard's technology. 

This Week's GreenArrays Winner is for a GreenHouse

The winner this week is Ed Sisler of All Systems in Mishawaka Indiana.

According to Ed, he plans to use it for "green house, watering and heat controller, solar powered, self contained (no external power required in green house)"

Bon Jour to This Week's GreenArrays Winner!

The winner of this week's GreenArrays/SchmartBoard winner come to us from Sony Computer Science Laboratory Paris.  Mr. Peter Hanappe will use the board and IC in the following manner.: "Earth System models are complex pieces of software that are composed of many different sub-models, including the atmosphere dynamics, ocean currents, cloud formation, long-wave and short-wave radiation in the atmosphere. I believe that the architecture of the GA144 would be well adapted to accelerate the computation of the atmospheric radiation (see me previous work on this topic, using the U.K. Met Office climate model: http://www.geosci-model-dev.net/4/835/2011/gmd-4-835-2011.html) and I'd love to put the chip to the test.
